The St.Louis Cathedral is a world known symbol of New Orleans and right in front of it sits Jackson Square.  Named after Andrew Jackson, a revolutionary figure, Jackson Square has seen the occupation of the French, the Spanish and finally the English.  There is a charge imposed by the Parks Commission to hold a ceremony inside the fences of the square, but there is not charge to hold the ceremony on the steps and then follow with photographs afterward inside the square..
